LAURENCE LISS BEGAN WORKING in the print industry as a freelance columnist for Art Matters Magazine in Philadelphia. Liss eventually became editor-in-chief of Art Matters. In addition to oversight of the day to day run of the publication, Liss was responsible for layout and design of the magazine each month. Some samples of these layouts can be viewed below.

Liss went on to work as a high level editor for national business-to-business publications Promo Marketing and Print Professional.

In 2007 Liss was hired as an editor for Outside Magazine's new publication titled GO and as the editorial director of the web-based publication SafeToys.
